"Recently arrived at our warehouse is Myriorama by Estelle Hanania, published in an edition of 250 by Gottlund Verlag on the occasion of a recent exhibition at FAT Galerie, Paris. Hanania is a Paris-based photographer much renown for her playful editorial and fashion work, and her fiercely creative gallery exhibitions. The work presented in Myriorama is a twisting world of photographs both made and taken. The blend of ambiguous full-figure costumes, minimal sculptural formalism and shadowy realism seem united under the banner of ritual, each photograph like a piece of devotional evidence depicting the moment or effect of unknowable ritual acts — acts undertaken by subject and photographer alike.
