The Gopher Illustrated
"Paris-born photographer Estelle Hanania could easily be a product of Diane Arbus' dreams. Unmoved by the everyday objects that seems to have a place in our collective sensitivities, Estelle creates narrative series focused on subjects that seems to come from another dimension, things which are challenging to categorize. that said, she is wary of self-portraiture, even choosing to forgo a mirror image, which is all too available - Estelle has a twin sister named Marion. She prefers to find herself in the images she shoots, and to leave a trace on her collaborators, herself a living example of the work she produces."
Hear The Bells Angels #2

Everyone loves Hair
From Juxtapoz website:
"Estelle Hanania has always taken crazy photos and her newer works explore hair, even bringing back into fashion the ancient rituals combined with a touch of science fiction eighties styles.
Her work is bizarre at times, but endlessly fun, unique, and diverse. Her foreign portraits of Yeti-like creatures and Japanese masks inform her latest series, Myriorama. Her images are emotional but also open to viewer interpretation. Is Estelle directing viewers to ponder specific traditions and cultural phenomena, or is she simply staging bizarre photoshoots? Perhaps a bit of both."
